Inauguration of ATDC-SMART Skill Camps in Western Region ATDC-SMART Skill Camp, Jabalpur was inaugurated on August 12, 2011 by the Commissioner, Jabalpur division Dr. Ravindra Pastor at ITI, Jabalpur Campus. Other dignitaries present at the inauguration ceremony included Sh. Gulshan Bamra, Collector, Sh. R.K. Divedi, Director Technical Education, Sh. Akshay Singh, CEO Jila Panchyat, Jabalpur, Sh Ashish Jalote, P.O., DUDA and Sh. Shriyansh Jain, President, Jabalpur Ready-made Garment Association.  The inauguration ceremony started with the lightning of lamp by the guests of honor and was followed by a keynote address by Sh. Ravindra Pastor. During the speech Dr. Ravindra announced two months stipendiary support to all 60 candidates seeking training in SMART-Sewing Machine operator (Advanced) programme at ATDC-SMART Skill Camp, Jabalpur, under the ISD Scheme, MOT, GoI. He also encouraged the candidates by promising to provide domestic sewing machines to all successfully trained candidates under this two month SMART-SMO (Adv.) programme. Sh. Shriyansh Jain, President, Jabalpur Ready-made Garment Association informed that Jabalpur is an un-organised hub for ready-made garments and presently there is immense requirement of skilled workforce. Mr. Jain praised the step taken by Hon''ble Commissioner in this regard and encouraged ATDC to increase the strength of trained candidates as Jabalpur Ready-made Garment Association has the capacity to provide job work to more than a thousand workers. We hope ATDC’s mission of imparting skills, improving lives will help the candidates seeking training at ATDC-SMART Skill camp Jabalpur get gainful employment.
